Lucy Kim is a visual artist born in Seoul, Korea, who lives and works in Lynn, MA and Brooklyn, NY. Her work investigates the relationship between images and the physical world. She developed a process combining the indexical nature of photography with the plasticity of painting by using aluminum foil to first record the form and surface of the subjects. The work maintains a physical relationship with the original subject while retaining a relationship to painting and photography.
